Janet Atkin has been at KLS since 1994 and is a positive, caring, and knowledgeable employee who is excellent at her job and is always willing to help others during school or after hours.  In the lab, she guides students in grades K-5 through the use of software applications and utilizes exemplary skills in teaching as she monitors their work.  Janet goes above and beyond her job duties by printing the schools Tornado awards quarterly and assisting the Technician and staff with technical issues.  In addition to her lab duties, she is an active member of the KLS PTA/SAC, co-chair of the KLS Relay for Life team and volunteers for numerous other school activities.   For her dedication, job excellence and countless hours of volunteering beyond her regular duties, Janet Atkin is named as the SRP in the Teacher Support Category and the Overall School Related Employee of the Year for the Monroe County School District.
